Ingredients

  • EasyPro® Soy Garlic Sauce (60ml)
  • Chicken (500g)
  • Star anise (2 pcs)
  • Salt & Pepper (1/8 tsp)
  • Dark Soy Sauce (1 tbsp)
  • Ginger (50g)
  • White Onions (80g)
  • Xiao Xing wine (1 tsp)
  • Cinnamon Sticks (2 sticks)
  • Brown Sugar (3 tbsp)
  • Chicken Stocks (300ml)
  • Bok Choy

Directions

  1. Pan grill the ginger, garlic, white onions, star anise, and cinnamon sticks. 
  2. In a pot, add the chicken stock, water and the grilled aromatics.
  3. Add the EasyPro® Soy Garlic Sauce, dark soy sauce, Xiao xing wine, salt and pepper. Bring it to a simmer.
  4. Add the whole chicken and simmer it for 20 to 25 mins.
  5. Cut the chicken and serve it with blanched bok choy and rice.
